They taught me how to sing a song and how to tie a knot.
They taught me how to do a skit, make puppets on the spot.
They taught me all I'd need to know, at least that's what I thought,
Till a Cub brought in a snake that he had caught!

How'd I get to be a leader?
All I ever wanted was to have a happy son.
Cub Scouting might be fun.
We all went out a hiking, yes, my webelos den and me.
They said the woods are full of many sights for you to see.
I know we sure were sights when we were found, eventually,
and, I do all this for free!
