Should Your Pack Use the Cub Scout Monthly Themes?
BSA's program is based on a monthly theme or idea that utilizes age appropriate guidelines.  While
achieving Scouting's aims when using when using the BSA themes it allows us to cover
achievements, electives, character connections, and a whole lot of fun.  It also helps leaders by giving
them resources such as Cub Scout Program Helps and the monthly Roundtable.
A Pack's First Three Months
If you are a new unit or reorganizing a unit, here are some program helps to get you started for your
first three months.  This includes Tiger Cubs to Webelos and Supplemental material.

Other Available Awards

Not every leader or unit is aware of all of the awards available to their Cub Scouts outside of the
Cub Scout Handbooks.  We frequently discuss these awards at our monthly roundtables.  To help
you along, some of these awards will be listed on this page and be able to be downloaded for your
unit's use.  When sitting down at your Annual Program Planning Conference, put these awards out
for your leaders and remember to incorporate them into your program.
