| As a Tiger Cub, the young boy will be part of a group of boys his own age called a den. With these boys he will build confidence and self-esteem. He will also gain a sense of personal achievement from the new skills he develops and the tasks he is able to accomplish. As a team, the adult partner and the Tiger Cub, will search out new activities, discover new things, and share them with others. This actually follows the concept of the Tiger Cub program, "Search, Discover, and Share" which the den meetings, family activities, and go see its are built around. |
| Tiger Cub Den Leader A motivated, well-trained, and caring Den Leader is vital to the success of a Tiger Den. The Den Leader plans the program of activities for the year and makes that plan available to all the adults. But, the den leader does not organize and run every den meeting and outing, instead the actual running of the program is done through shared leadership with the adult partners. A Tiger Den relies on the cooperation and enthusiasm of its families! Each adult partner signs up to lead at least one month's meetings and Go See It outing. This shared leadership helps guarantee participation by all, provides a sense of ownership to all, and gives each scout a chance to work on leadership skills. |
