The general rule that most units observe in Lenape District for Tiger Cubs and Cub Scouts is that
our uniform is from the waist up.  The appropriate belt (Tigers, Cubs), Shirt w/patches, neckerchief,
slide, and hat.  The scout would then wear blue pants, jeans, or blue shorts as part of his uniform.
You should attend your first meeting with your Cub Scouting Unit to make sure you find out what the
appropriate uniform, patches, den numerals or emblems are before visiting the scout shop to
purchase them.  See the checklists below.

Webelos Scouts may choose to  wear the tan Boy Scout shirt.  The appropriate olive green pants or
shorts are worn with the shirt once in a Boy Scout troop.  You must check with your Cub Scout unit to
see what the appropriate attire would be once you start wearing the Boy Scout uniform.  Some
Lenape units still go waist up while others expect the whole uniform when the switch is made.

*Checklists*Bring the checklists below to your Cub Scout Unit on your visit before going to the
National Scout Shop located at the Jersey Shore Council Service Center
.  You can check off what you
need to buy specific to your Units.

Uniform Inspection Sheet

The uniform is an important part of the Scouting program.  It identifies the boys and adult leaders
with the Scouting organization and gives them a sense of belonging to their den, pack, and the Boy
Scouts of America.  Uniforms should be worn to all den meetings, pack meetings, and special
pack activities.  The uniform can be worn during certain unit fund-raisers only with the permission
of Jersey Shore Council, BSA.
